Gorham, ME

This is a shirt that means quite a bit to me. It was given to me by my father when I was a child, and I’ve held onto it all these years even though it was way too big to fit me. I am now 24, and it fits me perfectly. At the time that it was given to me, I looked up to my dad quite a bit. I see the idea of me physically growing into the shirt as symbolic for me striving to be the man that my dad is. The fact that I can finally fit into it represents the fact that I finally feel like I am doing the work to be what I think it means to be a man.
